Laura Vázquez Fleitas
Laura Vázquez Fleitas is a PhD candidate for the PhD in Historical Sciences from the University of Havana. Assistant Professor of the Department of History of Cuba of the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the university itself. Graduate in History (2015) and Master in Interdisciplinary Studies on Latin America, the Caribbean and Cuba (2018) from the University of Havana. Member of the Academic Committee of the Master's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies on Latin America, the Caribbean and Cuba, Head of the Bachelor's Degree in History at the University of Havana and Vice President of the National Commission for the Degree in History. Specialist in studies on the Cuban socioeconomic elite during the republican period from theoretical perspectives related to critical discourse analysis, women's history and urban sociocultural history. He has publications in the magazine Temas, Horizontes y Raíces, Cambios y Permanencias and Cuban Studies related to his research topic. His teaching and research experience includes topics related to the representation of the elite of the Cuban bourgeoisie through the discourse on its built social space and problems related to the study of the bourgeois Republic in Cuba (1902-1958), Hermeneutics, the writing of History and the theory of History.
