Gabriel Cid Rodríguez

GABRIEL CID is PhD in History from the University of the Basque Country, Spain. He is academic at the History Institute of the Universidad San Sebastián (Concepción) and ANID-Fondecyt researcher. Specialist in the field of intellectual history, in the construction of national identities and in studies of war and society in the 19th century in Latin America and Chile. He has published 11 books and more than 50 research articles on these topics. His most recent book is La Guerra del Pacífico (1879-1883) (2023, with Carmen Mc Evoy).
