Abstract:
This essay explores some aspects of the process of international economic insertion of Argentina in the era of export growth. After briefly describing the forces that shaped the integration to the economy dominated by the industrial powers of the North Atlantic, he concentrates his attention on the discussions that this process aroused, as well as the type of actors who carried them out. The work makes some lateral references to the Chilean case, directed above all to highlight those contrasts that illustrate the uniqueness of the Argentine experience. The objective, then, is to emphasize certain peculiarities of the historical trajectory of this country in the era of the first globalization.
